Anjola Oladele is a young, pretty actress currently making waves in the Yoruba movie industry.  Anjola who is fondly called Anjie Diva, joined the industry a few years ago through her aunty, who is also a big player in the industry. Sometimes ago Anjola left the industry for a while before she made her return in 2016. Right now, she  has played major roles in many recent movies, emanating from the industry. Among them are  Abeni Shongiro, Ale Apon and many others. In a chat with GBOLAHAN ADETAYO, she explained how she joined the industry.
How did you join acting?
I got into acting through a movie I watched and it was entitled:  Ayoola. I had  always wanted to act, but there was no helper. So, one day, while I was watching a flick, I saw a number on the screen asking people to join the movie industry. I wrote the number and called.  I spoke with Biyi Johnson, the owner of Bjos media group and told him of my interest. That was in 2013 while I was in school.
Your aunt is an actress, did she not also help you?
She did. She tried her best. Though, it is only God who helps one without stress, but while I was still in school, she told me to focus on my studies first, saying that by the time I am done with my education, coming into acting would be better.  She used to take me to location at times and I gained much experience from that. She is a traveler; She is not always in Nigeria. And that has not really helped me.
Why did you pick interest in acting?
I have always loved entertainment, making people happy, and also making people learn from whatever I do.
What are the major films you have  featured in?
SisiEko, Efin/Smoke, HigiHaga, Omoniyun, Adabanija, Iwon, MorinsolaLabake, IyawoSanyeri, AbeniShongiro, Alakoso, My Dream Girl, Ale Apon, Asabisi among others.
What did you study in school?
I read Economics and education at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
