Today, Monday 30th September 2019 is indeed a day to always remember in the history of filmmaking in Nigeria, particularly the Yoruba movie genre of Nollywood as the new administrators of the Theater Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) led by Otunba Bolaji Amusan widely known as Mr Latin set a new record for itself.
It is no longer news that the association has been putting place several programmes that will have positive impacts in the lives of movie Practitioners in Nigeria. The association is currently on a 3 Day Workshop in Abeokuta, Ogun State to enhance the knowledge and the skills of movie directors and Directors of Photography in the industry.
The Seminar kicked off earlier today at Indices Hotel, Onikolobo, Abeokuta, with numbers of those who matters in the industry in attendance.
At exactly 1pm, the Public Relation Officer of the association, Yomi Fash Lanso took on the microphone to officially commence the event.
Subsequently, one of the strong members of the industry was invited to the podium for the opening prayers, and shortly after that, special guests at the event were highly recognized before the facilitator, Tunde Kelani took over to deliver his lectures which lasted for almost 4 hours.
But before then, the President of the association, Mr Latin said his opening remarks and he spoke at length on the need of the workshop.
The veteran filmmaker shared with the congregation his experience when he newly joined the Industry and some creative works he did to attain global recognition which everyone considered to be useful.
The first day of the programme, had in attendance top Yoruba movie directors as well as DOP such as Tunde Ola Yusuf, Ojopagogo, Antar Laniyan, Adebayo Tijani, Muyiwa Ademola, Okiki Afolayan, Seun Olaiya, Adebayo Picollo, Saheed Adebayo, Tope Adebayo, Kayode Adebayo, Dimeji Ijaduade and several others.
