Fast rising Yoruba actress, Temitope Ojikutu has advised the founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, and some other self-proclaimed Nigerian pastors to stop involving themselves in controversial issues or any public arguments that will make their followers to forsake Jesus Christ if truely they are ready to win souls for God Almighty.

In a recently video, which hit the internet this week, Pastor Ibiyeomie was recorded during a sermon in Port Harcourt on Sunday, abusing and threatening to kill a controversial Nigerian broadcaster, Ifedayo Olarinde aka Daddy Freeze for allegedly insulting his mentor, who is also the founder of Living Faith Church aka Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo.
According to Ibiyeomie in the video “I will never be alive and see anyone insulting my father, you are not born, I will kill you, I will tear you into pieces. Insult me I wouldn’t talk but insulting Oyedepo, I can’t be alive and you insult my father”.
This video became a topic of discussion on social media and without wasting much time, Daddy Freeze came out to call on the public and the police to hold the pastor responsible should any harm happens to him.
However, in a recent interview, this talented actress, Ojikutu was asked about her views on the issues as a Christian and she said, “well, may God Almighty have mercy on everyone calling His name. I wouldn’t know what must have transpired between the pastor and the broadcaster but in my own opinion, I think Pastor David should have controlled his anger during the sermon or ignore Daddy Freeze totally. With the said video, he has failed in practicing what he preaches as a pastor. As a man of God, you are expected to preach the gospel and win souls for Jesus Christ but with this video, do you think someone in his right senses will sit and watch the pastor preaching to him about anger, malice, self control and what have you, and such person will listento him? How does he want to win such soul for God? Not even in Nigeria where we have people with myopic minds. Only the genuine followers of Christ who God who often go out for evangelism will understand what I am talking about. To convince people to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior is hard. Now, a pastor who should be teaching us the words of God has lost his temper, coming to the altar to abuse and threatened people. I keep saying this, nobody can ever be like Jesus Christ, we are all pretenders. Jesus Christ was insulted, abused and nailed on the cross of cavalry but He never curse or threatened the people who manhandled him, rather he said father forgive them because they lack knowledge about what they are doing. If Daddy Freeze insulted Bishop Oyedepo, let him face him by himself, thank God he’s alive. There are other pastors like that everywhere whose their behaviours doesn’t glorify God. I will advise them to change and do work of God genuinely”, she said.
