Manchester City, London based socialite cum actress, Alhaja Fahridat Alajogun, who is the boss of Mataan Hotel and Suits, Akobo Ojurin, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, has exclusively shared with us what she went through during the first phase of noble Coronavirus that was globally experienced earlier this year 2020.

As a health worker in the UK, the very Industrious role interpreter accidentally contacted the virus but later survived it. Since then, she has refused to talk to journalists about it.

However, today is her birthday and the Ondo State-born actress decided to share her Covid-19 experience with Gbolahan Adetayo. Enjoy it.

How do you feel adding a year today?

Good and excited. I thank almighty Allah for spearing my life especially during the hard time of COVID-19, i saw, i fought and Conquered.

Can you explain that better?

You know during the first phase of COVID-19, as an health worker, i contacted the virus but almighty Allah healed me and speared my life. The most surprising thing at that period was that, I was alone living in my house with my grandson but almighty Allah protected the innocent boy, nothing actually happened to him before my friends came to his rescue, they took him away from me.

How did you survive it?

It’s almighty Allah with the experience of Malaria treatment we have in Nigeria. The local herbs was helpful.

As at that moment, what were you thinking about death?

To be sincere, it’s scary but glory be to God Almighty in heaven. That is the reason i released out that my under sixteen look picture for people to see that age is a number but grace of almighty Allah is still manifesting in my life.

Did you ever believe you will survive it?

At first i believed, but it got to a stage that i stopped believing. I started panicking, praying and calling my Mum several times.

Why Panicking?

Because initially it came like normal Malaria, but later it’s more than what people were thinking, that was why i don’t believe when they said some are tested positive in Nigeria and they are in isolation center walking around.

Share with us your Covid-19 experience?

Nothing much! It is something i can not describe but i thank Gid. I thank the almighty Allah and the people that stood by me during that time. My colleagues at work, my Imam and his Wife, Alhaji and Alhaja Ajikanle, friends from far and near, my grandson, as little as he is before friends took him away, he was the one with me asking me questions all the times, Mum are you okay, Mum are you alright, are you not eating? you sleep too much. It got to a stage that i can’t hold my tears anymore because i know I am the only one for him, if something should happen to me, God forbid he will suffer, so i have to be strong for the poor boy.

What’s your thoughts about death?

Please, don’t bring that for now, i still have a long way to go, my Mum is there, She’s 83 years last July, i won’t talk about death till after my Mum pass away, and i pray that almighty Allah will still spear her life to spend more more years yah Allah. All of us will die but what I am saying is, it will be wicked of me when my Mum is alive to be thinking of death by now. She is a Widow for years and single handedly trained all of us. We are five in numbers. I have no plan to celebrate my birthday yet, but my celebrity colleagues and my fans are already celebrating me on social media. But if i change my mind, i can just go to Chinese restaurant with my grandson to celebrate the new year.

What should your fans be expecting from you soon?

I have a new film coming out on the 3rd of December tittle IYA ADINNI. It’s a true life story of a devoted Muslim family, the wife is a fabric merchant and the husband is a business man. She is so devoted that they made her IYA ADINNI in the community Mosque, but her mother is a traditionalist. The movie is full of suspense and emotional as well. Directed by Tope Adebayo and Tomiwa Alajogun. Just watch out for it.
