Although the website management had put in place adequate measures to protect and secure the site which had been running for close to three years, this hijack was an in-house breach.
Serious caution was taken not to alert the public and particularly the millions of loyal readers of the site as frantic efforts were being made to regain the site from the hand of the criminal in the shortest possible time, however it wasn’t going to be an easy task as it’s been almost a month now that the site has been down.
