Multi Award winning Journalist cum Celebrities’ publicist, Gbolahan Adetayo was born and brought up in Ipara Remo Ogun State on March 1st,1980s into the royal family of PA Edward Adetayo Adekoya but was raised by his darling mother,Chief Mrs Adetayo. Gbolahan is the last child of the family.
Education for him started from Ipara Local Government School. He proceeded to Saapade Grammar School. Subsequently, he left the school for Ipara Community High School in 2001 where he wrote his WAEC.
In 2006,he continued his studies at Wolex Polytechnic, Adealu Lagos where he bagged his National Diploma Certificate in Mass Communication after his attempt to hold a certificate in Mass Communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic proved abortive due to the reason best known to him.
He gained admission to undergo his Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism in 2010. The easy going man of integrity practiced briefly at the Radio Lagos/Eko FM in 2007 while he was in school. His print journalism career began in 2008 when he gained employment to work with a community journal known as Ikeja/Agege Area News Magazine. He has worked with many Nigerian soft-sell magazines including Royal Classic Magazine, City Pride,Top Celebrities, National Enquirer,Newsthumb,News of The People and he is currently reporting for City People Magazine.
Having not rest on his oars, he has also established his presence online with an Online Media Personality of the year 2016 award which he got at the recently held Achievers’ Awards. Despite many threats from Nigerian celebrities, Gbolahan choose not to relent in practising his precision journalism and he has several awards to his credit.
As a renowned entertainment/society reporter, Gbolahan dropped the interest and summoned courage to start reporting the neglected Yoruba movie industry, which many saw as a ‘local industry’. This was in 2012 when he joined City People Magazine. Today, the industry has become a force to reckon with.
He was nominated at Celebrity Media Awards as Best Youth Reporter in 2010,MAYAAWARD Best Journalist in 2015. He won his debut journalism award as young journalist of the year 2011,TUSH Awards 2015 as Youth Journalist of the Year 2015, Endowed Haven Best Journalist of The Year 2016, CAMA Best Journalist of the year 2016. 
He was also nominated as Islamic reporter of the year Award at the last IMAN awards. It will also interest you to know that Gbolahan Adetayo is a brand ambassador for NUMATVILLE, a real estate company based in Abuja. He was endorsed in March 2016 as the fave of the company with a complementary plot of land in the city alongside Tuface Idibia,Ruggedman,Kiss Daniel, Mama G,Tonto Dike and other Nigerian Celebrities.
