“Why Many Marriages Are Crashing In Nollywood” -Veteran Yoruba Actress, Madam SAJE Speaks On Her 43 Yrs Marriage
Veteran Yoruba actress, Fausat Balogun popularly known as Madam Saje, in a recent interview revealed why many marriages in Nollywood especially in the Yoruba movie genre is crashing like a Domino.![925253_574590529328825_548445833_n]()
Madam Saje is regarded as the most featured veteran Yoruba actress, who joined acting at age 10 under the tutelage of her boss, Rafiu Balogun whom she later married when she was age 18 and their union is blessed with wonderful children. At City People Corporate Office in Gbagada last week, she was asked about fans’ admiration and whether they ask her out as they ask many actresses out after seeing them on TV, the Kwara State-born thespian said, “nobody has ever asked me out, maybe I wasn’t destined to have many toasters. But to be frank with you, there is no how you will be in that industry that such harassment won’t surface but it depends on you as a person. Someone like me is now a big fish in that industry and there is nothing you can do again than to face your job and the well-being of your children.
I pray for those who are facing challenges in their marriages today in the industry, may God almighty settle it for them. When asked her opinion on why many Nollywood marriages are crashing almost everytime, she said. “It is a bad thing to follow your colleagues’ steps to define your own life. If someone like me had tried that in the past, I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am today, and I always advise them that we came to this world with different purposes. Taiwo’s destiny is different from Kehinde’s own. If you are mad at me, the way I am, you are just angry with God because that is the way he created me. I suffered before I got to where I am now. It is not as if I have money to that extent but I am contented with what I have. Many have travelled abroad before I did. A woman in London called Iya Isila has invited me on several occasion but I didn’t force myself until and it was like a miracle. There is no late comer in success. I have been to London, America, Saudi-Arabia, Dubai and all that at my convenient time.
Most of them want to belong, this is one of the reasons many marriages are crashing in the industry, may God change their mind for better so as to have a stable marriage. My fellow colleague has done this and I must do my own at all cost, do you know where he/she got the money? As a result, they involve themselves in things they are not meant to do which will cause crisis in the union”.
We further asked her about the young actresses who are riding exotic cars worth N15million and more… “where would I see money to buy such? Though, from the beginning, I don’t like big cars like that because, where would I see money to fix the parts or maintain it? But that is the not the same case with our girls in the industry. My advice for the married ladies in the industry especially those whose husbands are also in the acting industry is that they should stay glued to their husbands because that is how it was destined to be, especially when you have kids for each other. Most married women stay in the marriage because of their children, not the husband because all men are the same. If you leave your children, it is as simple as you preparing them for sufferings because another wife will maltreat them. I, as a person can’t leave my children for a minute. My husband married 2 wives and I nurtured my kids alongside my second wife. This is because this life is too short to be creating enmity for yourself. ![images]()

Veteran Actor,Aluwe To Bury Mum in July
It is no longer news that veteran comic actor, Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Aluwe is bereaved.
He lost his aged mother,Omonike Omobolanle who slept in the Lord on Saturday April 23rd 2016. Mama, we learnt died in her sleep in her abode in Ilora, Oyo State at age 85. Her remains have been deposited at a mortuary in Oyo till July when she is expected to be buried.

With the way things are going now in the Yoruba movie industry, it seems that the era of home video will soon come to an end as the Association of the Yoruba Movie Marketers have hit hard time. ![download]()
A few years ago, precisely in August 2014, the Yoruba Video Film Producers/Marketers Association of Nigeria (YOVIFPMAN) relocated the film market from Idumota to the International Standard market of The Arena Shopping Complex at Oshodi in Lagos. Since the inception of Nollywood,Idumota has been the number one movie market in Nigeria, and the main motive behind the decision to move to Oshodi was to enable them battle the dreadful and deadly piracy which seems to be the biggest threat not just to Yoruba movie industry alone but Nigeria entertainment world as a whole.

Immediately the movies are released on Monday morning which will be sold for #200 inside Arena, the pirated copies will also come out in the afternoon where 18 newly released movies will be packed in one CD for just #100. Psychologically, it is cheaper and people rather will go for it than to buy a movie for #200. This, we learnt has gradually affected the pace and regularity of sales from the side of the marketers which in turn has affected the usual 2-week pace of movie release.
Information further revealed that the marketers are running at loss at every release and they can no longer pay the brains behind the production such as Printers who made the CD jacket and posters, Film Editors and of course the movie producers which influenced the act of inviting Soldiers and Policemen to arrest some of the marketers before the producers can get part of their payment.
The replicators, we learnt have increased their payment as the CD which was normally N20 now goes between 27 and #30 per copy, and the jacket which was #7 has risen to #13 per copy including posters. Some of these marketers are already lamenting especially after release but it is rather unfortunate that most of them have no alternative. This, has ultimately reduce the numbers of marketers releasing movies to less than 15 rather 22 fortnightly. We also scooped that most marketers are now forcefully going on leave while others are taking into music marketing. Some of these marketers, we learnt have been rejecting movies from producers, and in actual sense, if marketers are now rejecting movies from Producers, that means the era of home videos in the Yoruba movie industry will become extinct.

“What I Achieve From Sleeping With Old Women”- Yoruba Actor, Aremu Afolayan Confesses
Years after he was alleged to be dating older women otherwise known as Gigolo which he has on several occasions denied, popular Yoruba actor, Aremu Afolayan, one of the sons of late theatre icon, Ade Love has boldly came out to confess what he gains from keeping secret affairs with women who are far older than him.
The handsome actor said he is not bothered at what people say about him so far he is happy doing what they criticise him for.
Speaking with Yes Magazine in an interview, Aremu, who married an Abuja-based older lady few years ago, said he cannot imagine making love to younger women.
“They said I’m a gig0lo right? I owe no one any explanation for the way I live my life. They can criticize my film, but not my life.
“They said I do rich women for money, how I wish I can do that because a gig0lo don’t get broke like this. If I’m a gig0lo I will never sell my properties to do a film of N16 million. I sold three of my cars to raise the money. I am not what people think I am.”
He further said, “I love ladies that are older than me. It’s my business because I don’t find the good thing, the real love and happiness from the young chaps.”
Explaining further why he does not do younger women, he queried “can you imagine a situation where I sleep with my girl now and she will go and sleep with one yahoo boy or my daddy’s friend again because she needs money?”
“So, I have to follow someone who is not a girl as they say, but a lady that is at least older than me. This is what I like; my life, not their life. So, that’s no one’s business. You see, I owe no one any explanation concerning this. I can only explain to God and until He comes, I can continue,” he noted.

Actor,Kolade Oyewande Acquires New Car For His Manager
This is indeed good news from the household of popular actor cum producer,Kolade Oyewande as he acquired 2004 model of Honda Accord for his manager.
